Dr. Zebold completed her undergraduate studies at Miami University in Oxford, OH before continuing on to get her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois. After graduation, she joined the team at our sister hospital in Elmhurst where she advanced her skills in ultrasound and surgery.  When it was decided to open Deerfield, Dr. Zebold played a hands-on role in the construction and opening process before transitioning here full time for patient care.  She has special interests in soft tissue surgery and behavior as well as being enthusiastic about mentoring new vets and providing patients with as low stress vet care as possible. Dr. Zebold comes from a background training in shelter medicine and is passionate about providing high quality care to local rescue animals.  Over the years, Dr. Zebold has also developed a strong bond with many senior pets, including her own, and loves to help them age gracefully. Outside of work, Dr. Zebold enjoys gardening, home improvement projects, spending time on the water at her grandmother's lake house, and relaxing with her pups, Payton and Briggs. She is also an avid Bears fan, hence the dog names.
